Rebecca West | Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce | Board Chair

L.E.T.S. Play’s founder, Rebecca West began the program initially as a volunteer project through the start up grant StartUp Chile in 2012, where she recruited and trained other StartUp Chile volunteers to run the program in Chilean PE classes. After returning to the U.S., she realized that there was also a need for extra language support right here in Nashville. With the help of some amazing volunteers and board members, she helped start the program in Nashville.

Alvaro Manrique Barrenechea | Justice For Our Neighbors | Vice Chair

Alvaro is a Peruvian attorney transplanted to Nashville. He currently works for Tennessee Justice for Our Neighbors as a Legal Advocate/Legal Assistant. Alvaro also volunteers as an ESL tutor for Conexión Americas, is a cooking enthusiast, and enjoys running. #goPackgo

Bradley Warren Viacom | Treasurer

Bradley has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Tennessee Knoxville, and now works within the international tax department of a Fortune 500 company. Bradley played College baseball, but has always loved sports in general.  He sees this opportunity with LET’S Play as a way to get involved in youth sports once again.

Tiffany Hodge | Martha O’Bryan | Secretary

Tiffany has worked with nonprofits for over 5 years, most recently at the PENCIL Foundation. For two years, she served as the Director for Youth Programming at the Center for Refugees and Immigrants of TN (CRIT), which gave her the opportunity to become familiar with the refugee and immigrant communities in Nashville. Tiffany is originally from Indiana, but has spent several years living in Bangladesh and India.

Lyndsay Wilkinson | Youth Villages| Board Member

Lyndsay Berry Wilkinson is the Development Manager at Youth Villages of Middle Tennessee and has been with the organization for 5 years. She started her nonprofit work first as an AmeriCorps member serving at an elementary school in Boston. Lyndsay has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Bowling Green State University (Bowling Green, OH) and a Master’s in Marketing Communications from Emerson College (Boston, MA). Lyndsay completed the Young Leaders Council program (class of ’63) and also serves on the board of Greenways for Nashville.

Samantha Perez | Metro Human Relations Commission | Board Member

Samantha is the Director of Policy and Research with the Metro Human Relations Commission and is finishing up her doctorate in Sociology at Vanderbilt University. She started playing soccer when she was 8 and currently plays in the Nashville Area Women’s Soccer Association.

Jeff Robben | Belmont University | Board Member

Jeff grew up in St. Louis, MO, where he was involved in sports through playing and coaching until high school graduation. Upon finishing high school, he moved to Nashville, TN to attend Belmont University, and he is currently pursuing his Master of Sport Administration there. Jeff has a passion for teaching and helping youth develop and gain confidence in all areas of their life.

Bertin Nono | Service Source International | Board Member

Bertin grew up in Dschang, a small town in west Cameroon—the 2017 Soccer ’s African Cup of Nations Champion. After graduating with a BS in Mathematics and Computer Sciences, Bertin moved to the U.S. in 2007 and completed his MS in Mathematics from Tennessee Technological University in 2009. He is a dad of two daughters and currently works as a Senior Business Intelligence Developer for ServiceSource International. Outgoing by nature and a sports fan, Bertin has been involved in a myriad of social activities including dancing and teaching Lindy Hop, Kizomba dance as well as coaching soccer for the Nashville Soccer United.

Andreas Guentner | Vanderbilt University | Board Member

Andreas is a former professional soccer player and operations/financial consultant from Germany. While playing, he helped with the club’s youth development and served as an ambassador and patron for a soccer league for children with disabilities. Currently, Andreas is working on his MBA from Vanderbilt University with concentrations in Operations, Strategy, and HOP.

Marty Palmer U.S. Army | Board Member

Marty attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, majoring in American Politics and Political Strategy. He has been deployed to various different countries, including Afghanistan, Turkey, and Iraq. After two years of special training, Marty earned his Green Beret and was transferred to Fort Campbell to be a member of the 5th Special Forces Group. Marty currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee and enjoys sports and fitness.
